I have had this kimono from Bare@Rose for a while, but never got around to showing it off.  Blogging these days is so focused on new items.  I have also fallen to the trend and have been chasing after blogging requirements and deadlines to meet.  It’s more than fair to meet designer/brand requirement especially if you they supply with items for free.  Anyways, today I wanted to take a bit of a break and dig in my inventory for something old but still great.  The hair accessories are new though, from kisetsu.

Wow!  It’s been a busy week in RL.  I am so glad the work week is over.  Anyways, today I bring you a bit of Japan.  The hairstyle is new from kisetsu, inspired by ofuku hairstyle.  I am told ofuku hairstyles are hairstyles worn by senior maikos, i.e. generally  maikos that are over 18 years old.  Maikos are apprentice geiko.  Geiko is a term generally used to refer to geishas from Kyoto.  I am learning quite a bit about the geisha world.  It’s quite fascinating.  I didn’t realize you could tell the difference between maikos and geikos by looking at their hairstyles!

[ R O L E P L A Y ] Kyoto

There are a lot of sims inspired by Japan.  I had the pleasure of visiting Kyoto Kagai today.  It’s a great sim beautifully decorated with lots of interesting little shops and places to visit and look around.  If you are looking for a Japanese backdrop, this could be the perfect place for you.  Anyways, for the journey, I pulled out this kimono I picked up a while back.  I love the modern geometric print on this kimono.  The hairstyle is new from kisetsu available at Sanarae along with the hair ornaments I am wearing today.   Check out my glittery stars and moon on my face.  These are gacha appliers from Livia.

Anachron will be splitting into 4 separate brands.  It will still be the same designer Nix Marabana behind the four brands, but likely use alts for each brand.  The first of the four new brands is kisetsu, focusing on traditional Japanese items.  The hair accessories and bag are new releases under this new brand available at Sanarae and Kurenai.  I am so excited to see what this brand has to offer in the future.  I can’t wait~
