Today I am wearing a cute dress with Asian inspirations from Emerald Couture. This cute little number is an exclusive available at L’Elite. The matching platform maryjanes are from Shoe-Ddiction also available at the same event. I kept accessories quite simple given the intricate Asian patterns of the dress with just a statement ring from Donna Flora. My make up is simple, dark mauve lips matching the dress with silvery eyeshadow. I went a bit fancier with my nails though. These shimmery ombre nails are from LIVIA! I am planning to get something very similar in RL. 🙂
Check out this new release from Bare@Rose… such a stunning kimono outfit! The set includes two color versions: red (worn above) and violet (not shown). The jewelry (headpiece and choker) and geta shoes are included so you don’t need to worry about accessorizing or finding the right shoes for the outfit. I took a stroll in my new kimono down Kyoto today. It’s beautiful sim filled with interesting places to visit. Apparently it is the first sim to host all fiver of Kyoto’s Geisha Districts with different okiya.
This new sari from Anachron is just stunning! The colors and patterns are so beautiful. Looking to add some exotic ethnic pieces to your wardrobe? Check out Enchantment, themed “Arabian Nights”. You will find not only this new release from Anachron but many more designs from other designers as well.
After a lot of persistent tries, I finally managed to make it into Skin Fair 2017 this weekend. It was so exciting to see the number of skin choices available for Asian avatars. I went a bit nuts… Above are some of the choices available for LeLutka mesh head. I am wearing the same shape (my own) and hair across all the pictures so you can see the different features. As you can see, the skin applier you choose can really make a difference how you look. I am identifying the most with Glam Affair’s Amaya at the bottom left corner. It kind of reminds me of a Korean actress, Shin Min-A. Anyways, hope the above helps you a bit with your shopping. I know I was struggling a bit when I was looking for Asian skins around the grid.
If you live in East Asia like me, chances are you are celebrating New Years again. Yes, we celebrate two New Years… We have Lunar New Year, based on Lunar calendar, and in some countries it is one of the biggest holidays in the year. In Korea, it is time to return to your hometown and celebrate with the family… kind of like Thanksgiving in the US. I have just returned from our traditional family brunch. Thankfully, most of my family live in Seoul, so our pilgrimage to home is just 10-15 minute drive from where we live. For today’s look, I chose to wear hanbok, traditional Korean outfit. These are gacha items from Dami, available at Shiny Shabby. It is a more modern interpretation, but I love it~ Anyways, Happy Lunar New Year!!!
Today I am taking inspiration from Japan for my look today. This kimono inspired mini dress is from KiB Designs available at this month’s Color Me Project. I am also wearing kimono inspired manicure from alaskametro<3 available at Bon Voyage. Actually this month’s theme of Bon Voyage is Japan, so if you are in search of items inspired by Japan make sure you check it out.
The hair is new from Ayashi. I picked it up during Hair Fair. Ayashi carries a lot of cute hair styles, taking inspirations from Japanese manga. The store carries some unique styles so I am sure I will be stopping by this store again. Anyways, hope everyone is enjoying the weekend! It’s so hot in Seoul… I look forward to my Summer vacation!
