Only in SL would it be ok to wear a formal gown to the beach. How inconvenient would it be in RL? :) I am in love with this gorgeous gown from VIPs Creation. It comes with a HUD with lots of texture options, but my favorite is this neutral color. It’s so elegant. I kept my accessories simple, and just added a flower tiara from Zuri Rayna for a pop of color with a statement ring. I left my hair long, with natural waves for a more casual, modern look. A more formal up-do would be too outdated or heavy. I wanted to keep the look light and fresh, more appropriate for the location I chose to take my pictures today. This beautiful sim “The Keys” is one of my favorite places for picture taking… furnished houses, hidden caves, beautiful beach area and garden… I highly recommend this place for any of you looking for some great background for your pictures.
It’s been a while since I posted any work outfits in my blog, so today I bring you a casual business look for the office. If you work in a very conservative company, perhaps a less tight pair of pants would be more appropriate but this knit cardigan and white shirt combo is perfect for the office, especially for a more relaxed work environment. The cardigan + shirt combo is a The Breakfast at Tiffany’s Hunt 2 hunt gift from CuCu Clothes. It’s a single mesh item and it cannot be worn separately. However, it’s a classic timeless piece which can be worn with practically anything. Dress it up with a pencil skirt or dress it down with your favorite pair of denim. Note we are now in the last week of The Breakfast at Tiffany’s Hunt 2, so hurry before it ends.
I am not dressed up for heavy rain, but are we ever ready when it pours? I am lucky if I have an umbrella with me. The umbrella I am carrying is from BAXE. It’s included in a set of nine umbrella poses currently available at Pose Lover till May 2. It certainly came handy when I visited Green Story today. The environment is set to rainy weather, pouring non-stop. Thankfully we don’t have to worry about getting ourselves wet or ruining our shoes! I am still wearing my new heels from Venus Shoes from yesterday. The dress I am wearing is new from Wicked. The chevron like line pattern is simple and modern. You really don’t need much accessories with this dress. I just added long pearl necklace and statement ring.
Once again, I am wearing my hair long. This style is new from Asset. Asset added new textures, and I am loving the variety it offers. Pick up a demo and check it out. I have kept my make up simple again, just black eyeliner and a dab of lip gloss. It brings out my Asian features well so will stick with this look for a while.
More flower prints! Yay! It’s Spring after all, and flowers are blooming every where… my closet too! This flower print mini skirt is alaskametro<3’s newest release available at On9. There is about one more week left to this event so make sure you check it out. The top is also from alaskametro<3 but this is sold at anyBODY this month. I added a light cardigan in a neutral color with flower themed accessories and simple mini bag to complete the look. Check out the close up of my shoes today; it’s the latest from Venus! Love them~
For hair, I went with Asset’s latest. It’s a simple straight long hair, blow dried for volume, and parted to the side. I love how the hair is brushed away from your face. These type of hairstyles are great for blogging and modeling. It does not cover your outfit and you can still show off your earrings~ Anyways, I have been wearing my make up very simple these days, just black eyeliner and lip tint… very clean and fresh!
Sherlock Holmes is one of my favorite fictional characters. As a kid (and still as an adult), I spent hours and hours reading murder mystery novels. Agatha Christie and Sherlock Holmes were my favorite. My preference for TV shows and movies is also skewed towards detective series. Something about solving crimes, the process of gathering evidence and figuring out what happened, is intriguing and fun. Anyways, I came across this little place called 221B Jefferson Way and I knew it was inspired by Sherlock Holmes’ 221B Baker Street. I had the perfect outfit for the occasion so I spent a few hours looking around and taking pictures. The outfit is a new release from Bare@Rose. Did you know Bare@Rose now has a collection for Maitreya bodies? This outfit is fit for Maitreya. It comes with a Maitreya applier for underwear and stockings, and an auto-hider which is really convenient. Even the shoes included fit my Maitreya fit well, though I decided to wear a different pair of shoes for this post. Blue jacket and gold skirt options are also included. This particular outfit is only available at Genre till May 12th. As many of you know, Genre is a monthly event with a price cap of L$100. This outfit is for sale at L$90, a bargain!
Happy Earth Day! As I grow older I have become a lot of environmentally conscious and increasingly interested in upcycling projects and ways to help the environment. I have to admit I am not green 100% but at least I am trying to be more prudent and smart about it. Anyways, in celebration of Earth Day, I thought it would be fun to bring a bit of fantasy to my blog today. The outfit I am wearing is from Bare@Rose. It comes with system layer clothing that provide more coverage, but I wanted to keep my Maitreya body so I am showing a bit more flesh than usual. I had to choose a hairstyle that strategically provide coverage for some of the over exposed areas today. The make up I am wearing is new from Dulce Secrets, available at The Makeover Room this month. It comes with the little crystal eye ornament, with a variety of eyeshadow colors which are perfect for more dramatic look.
It’s indeed Spring, because I can’t get enough flower prints into my wardrobe. This beautiful lace and flower print dress is a La Gazza Ladra release at On9. The lace over lay is quite special, adding texture over a bold flower print skirt. The length of the skirt is not too short either which is a big plus. The whole look is so feminine. I am wearing statement rings as accessories in the shape of a rose from two different designers, along with a clutch in a vibrant color. For shoes, I went with a pair of classic pumps with bow details from Venus Shoes. The hair style is the latest from Monso, a new release available at Shiny Shabby. It’s by far one of my most favorite hairstyle this year! I love the bangs and the c-curl shaped outwardly. I have been looking for this type of hair for sometime. Love, love, love!
