[ s t y l e ] Thank You Callie!

Thank You Callie!

I am a bit late, but I still wanted to show my appreciation and express my thank you to Callie Cline.  One of my favorite items from Callie Cline is the Ally Coat Dress.  Today I chose to wear the blue with sleek black boots from Sweetest Goodbye.  Accessories were kept at a minimum with some simple earrings from ICoN.  I added a french beret from Veschi.  I am into hats these days.  The skin was a gift from YS * YS during Blogger Appreciation Week.  I am thinking of getting other make-ups.  What do you think?

[ s t y l e ] Classic Black

Classic Black

Spring/Summer 2009 trends say beige is the new black, the “IT” neutral color for the season, but beige will never replace my black wardrobe.  My new hat was the starting point of today’s outfit.  This is a soon-to-be-released preview copy from Sweetest Goodbye.  It should be released sometime this week together with some new boots and dresses.  The hat is quite over the top, making a statement on its own so I decided to wear a simple yet feminine dress with it.  This particular one is from Winter Moon, one of my purchases during my earlier SL days.  Big wide belt from Crystal Queendom accentuates the waistline and the see through shrug adds a subtle coverage to the whole look.  The shrug is a new release from Lookr, quite a versatile item.  It would look great with jeans or over a smoking hot swimsuit.  Strappy sandals from Zhao and black ribbon bag from Lycee enhance this feminine look with big cocktail ring and crystal necklace from Paper Couture adding a bit of sparkle to the outfit.

[ s t y l e ] School Girl

School Girl

First of all, I would like to extend a BIG THANK YOU to Callie Cline for organizing the Blogger Appreciation Week, and to all those who contributed to a wonderful week of events, gifts and festivities.  I am thrilled to be part of it, and this past week goes down as one of my most memorable moments in SL.

On to today’s outfit, I stepped away from my usual glam and glitz, away from haute couture, into something more casual.  This school girl outfit started with my new hair from JE*Republic.  Vella is quite cute, braided on the side, and short.  It looks best with a hair base skin, such as the one I am wearing, Tessa from Laqroki.

Actually, have you been to JE*Republic lately?  Jungeun Vella has revamped her store.  The hair section has been upgraded with new and improved hair textures, new color packages, and new vending displays.  She has a few new releases too.  My favorite hair color is still smoky, which is resembles my RL hair color the most.

For the outfit, I picked out some pieces from Sweetest Goodbye.  If you know me or have read my blogs, you probably know I work for Sweetest Goodbye.  Therefore, my opinion about Sweetest Goodbye may be a bit biaised, but I love this store.  The shoes are my old time favorites, Old Laced Up Boots from Shiny Things.  To finish off the look, I added some bracelets from Caliente Express and Cake with simple hoop earrings from Primalot

Note the poses used for this post are from Imperial Elegance.  They are not ease-in so not appropriate for runway or AO, but these are great for blogging and picture taking.  I believe there is a sale going on right now, so check it out.

P.S.  I just wanted to add the bag I am carrying is from Kittylicous.  I thought the store had closed down, but it’s open. Yay!  Check out Kittylicous at their main store here.  Thanks Gypsy Helendale and Kaete Guisse for pointing this out… and apologies if I caused any confusion!

[ s t y l e ] Pink Blossoms

Pink Blossoms

I am back!!!  I just got back from a short trip to Spain and Portugal and I miss it already.  Anyways, I am glad to be back and I have been quite busy checking out all the new releases I missed out during my absense.  Today I mixed some new and old items from Paper Couture and my new skirt from Royal Blue to create today’s extravagant, over the top look.  After all, Spring is all about flowers~

The whole look started off with the flower sculptie skirt from Royal Blue.  I have always been a big fan of Marni Grut.  Her corky avant-garde fashion style has won my heart from the first time I stepped into her store as a newbie almost two years ago.  Spring 2009 release is no disappointment.  There are so many cute items but this skirt just screamed “wear me”.

I added the flower headpiece and hair (Frida) from Paper Couture, part of 2009 Spring/Summer Collection.  I tinted the flower head piece a bit darker to match the skirt.  For the top, I pulled out of one of Paper Couture’s earlier collection.  I edited the arms for a tighter fit to accentuate the silhouette of the skirt.  I added pink/mauve pumps from Maitreya keeping with the same color scheme.  Perhaps it’s too much pink, but since we are playing with too many shapes, I thought keeping the color paillete monotonous would tame the look a bit.  For accessories, I just added some gold drop earrings from Paper Couture and gold clutch from Fleur.

Note the skin is a recent group gift from Rockberry.  It’s been blogged all over, but I think it looks great on me too.

One more thing, the poses used for this blog are from Behaviour Body located at Baiastice.  These are part of the animated pose sets.  These are looped animated poses which are more appropriate for the runway or AO.  Be sure to go to the store and try them.  I love these and can’t wait to use them on the runway.
