A couple of days ago, I wore this little number from TheBeautifulOnes to CIK (Club In KOTA), a popular hang out for my Korean friends in SL. CIK is a club located in a Korean sim, with regular live DJ performances playing K-pop tunes and the latest electronic music.
I am not much of a corset lover, but I liked the back details on this dress. The shoes I am wearing have matching corset details on the sides, also from TheBeautifulOnes. I stuck with the corset theme and added these stockings with similar details. 🙂 These were a past gift from Glitzz. The jewelry set I am wearing were this season’s X-mas gifts from Jumo. Simply gorgeous!
I received this beautiful high waist gown from Amarelo Manga, and I immediately thought “Roma”. I am having so much fun playing dress up. For today’s look, I accessorized with some statement jewelry pieces from Modern Couture, along with this golden laurel leaves crown also from Modern Couture. I would have worn my hair down, but wanted to show you the back and the elegant cape of the dress.
I feel like a character out of Spartacus. However, the location is a bit inaccurate because I shot my pictures at Ancient Greece… but this is a style blog so I hope you at least enjoyed my styling despite such inconsistencies. 🙂
I recently joined Fi’s Hunts blogger group. I will officially start blogging for this monthly themed hunt event starting in January with Black or White Hunt 2 (Jan 15-30), but I wanted to share a sample of items from its current hunt, Elven Forest Hunt (Dec 1-31) as a preview of what to expect going forward. As you know I love fantasy so I couldn’t resist. 🙂 Hunts are great ways to find new stores. The hair and the dress are hunt items from two stores I was not familiar with, Alli & Ali and Get Frocked. There are so many content creators inworld. I can’t wait to see what goodies the participating designers will be offering at the upcoming Black & White Hunt. If you love fantasy, there are still a few days left for Elven Forest Hunt. The items are fairly easy to find so give it a go if you haven’t yet. For a full preview of the hunt items and clues, check out Fi’s Hunts.
Star Wars Episode 7, I finally made it to the movies to watch this. Don’t worry this is not a spoiler. 😛 I actually watched the past episodes during Christmas to refresh my memory ahead of watching Episode 7. I never really enjoyed Episode 1, but Padme Amidala’s wardrobe left a lasting impression. Her outfits were out of this world, so detailed and rich. I am sure most Star Wars fan already know, but Padme’s regal style was inspired by traditional Mongolian royalty.
Today’s look was inspired by Padme. I picked up this outfit from Bare@Rose and I thought it was just perfect to create the look, a traditional Mongolian royalty outfit called “Mongolian Khalkha”. I thought I would have the most trouble finding the extravagant hairstyle, but the outfit comes with the headpiece which made the rest very easy. I added some ethnic drop down earrings and war paintings on my face. What do think? Do I look like a character out of Star Wars? By the way, the photo location of today’s pictures is Byss, City of Khayal. It’s actually a Star Wars role-playing sim, but you can still visit and look around. It’s amazing! Just make sure you attach your observer title so everyone knows you are just a visitor, and don’t interfere with any role-playing activities that may be ongoing.
I always thought a quick way to style up your look is to add a pair of stylish sunglasses. Sunglasses are a key item in my RL wardrobe. I actually wear them almost everyday. In SL, I don’t think I have featured many looks with sunglasses, mostly because I want to show the make-up combination I am wearing with the outfit. Anyways, I do own quite an extensive collection of sunnies in SL so I might as well show them off. The ones I am wearing today are from Swallow. I am loving my new Bax Coen boots so I styled another look around the boots: a belted cardigan over a jumpsuit. Note these are separate items from two different stores. I played around different sizes to get the fit right. The jumpsuit mesh shows up here and there when I walk, but nothing that can’t be covered up with my long hair. 🙂
We do not celebrate Boxing Day in Korea, but I still get the day off since it falls on a Saturday this year. I plan to spend it at home, cuddled in a warm blanket watching old movies and drinking hot cocoa. The outfit I am wearing today really resembles what I am wearing in RL, comfortable fleece lined nordic print leggings and a cozy sweater. My SL version is from alaskametro<3 and Wicked, respectively. The leggings are new available till the end of the year at Omega Tent Sale. The sweater is old, and I have worn it already here. The boots are also old, worn multiple times but they are my go to boots when I seek comfort and warmth. The hair is a new release from Monso available at Shiny Shabby. It’s so cute and different. I love it! It’s a very nice addition to my hair collection. The pose with the little french dog in my arms is from BellePoses. I love poses with props and i am hoping to show more of these going forward in my blog. Please note this is not my home so I can’t give you much details on the background deco. I took the picture at Umbral Photography. My SL home is quite empty, only a pose stand and a few boxes. It’s literally a place for me to change, unpack boxes and occasionally take studio pictures. I much prefer exploring sims! Anyways, hope everyone is enjoying the holidays… I will be back with more goodies soon.
Merry Christmas! Hope you are enjoying your holidays with your loved ones. For my Christmas Day post, I was initially going to wear something more silly and fun, but when I received this gown for review from Snowpaws, I quickly changed my mind. I just love the shape of this gown and the bow details just ties in nicely with the season. The hair I am wearing is a Christmas gift from Exxess, available at their store. It comes with two HUDs, one loaded with multiple hair colors and one with a variety of color choices for the horns. The neck ribbon is also a Christmas gift from IT!. You can pick it up at Designer Circle. Anyways this is a quick post as I am off to get ready for Christmas and spend some quality time with my family. Ciao!
I am still in search of the perfect dress to wear on New Year’s Eve in RL, but in SL, I think I have just found the perfect dress for the occasion. This perfect little dress is from Essenaz. The glittery detail is so festive and the back is just so sexy! What I love about it is that you can choose to wear the dress without the glitter which comes very handy for those non-festive days. I put on extra layer of glitter on my whole body for extra shine and my hair I pulled it up on a ponytail so you can see the sexy back. I added extra bling with crystal/gold drop earrings with matching bracelet from Alienbear, along with a big cocktail ring from Paper Couture.
Realistically, I would not chose to wear white. White color in general often adds a few more pounds. Also it’s just not very practical; it’s so hard to keep it clean! I have a few white shirts but that’s about it when it comes to white clothing in my RL wardrobe. In SL, you don’t have to worry about laundry or a few extra pounds, so why not? Anyways, the dress comes with a HUD with 10 color options, so you can pick and choose depending on the mood or the occasion. Are you ready for all the upcoming holiday parties? Please share your party dresses… looking forward to get some inspiration for my RL New Year’s Eve dress. Happy Holidays everyone!
If yesterday I was a pirate wench, today’s outfit is a modern interpretation inspired by my outfit yesterday. Today I am wearing a dress with strap details resembling the corset ties of the skirt I was wearing yesterday. This sexy number is from TheBeautifulOnes. I added a furry bolero jacket from Lelutka for warmth. It’s a group gift for Christmas at their store. The silhouette of the jacket resembles the shape of the Victorian blouse. The neckline felt a bit bare, so I added a statement necklace from Modern Couture. For hairstyle, I chose a shaggy short hair from Mina. Long hair would hide my neck… and you know in modeling it’s all about elongating your neck!
Instead of thigh high boots, today I chose to wear knee high boots keeping in mind the length of dress I am wearing today. The boots are new from Bax Coen. I have been waiting forever for a new release and here it is. It was worth the wait because it’s just perfect. It fits so nicely, and take a look at the details on the back, so meticulously done. The zipper, heels, sole, etc. can be customized via HUD which is always a plus. It also comes with optional walking sounds.
Instead of a sword, I am carrying a clutch… A gun would have been a more appropriate replacement for a sword but I was visiting the Basilica and weapons just didn’t seem right. Have you been to this beautiful place? Everything is so serene and calm. I love it there… a great place to visit and wander around. Guided tours are available too for those who prefer that. I personally like to explore by myself.
Can you believe all these years in SL, and I don’t think I ever dressed up as a pirate before, not even in many fashion shows I participated as a model? Well, there is always a first time and today I am a Victorian pirate wench, wearing a new release from Bare@Rose called “Colsetta“. The main focus of the outfit is the corset skirt. I am usually not a big fan of corsets in daily outfits but for costumes it’s almost a must! There are two options included in the outfit: one with white lace trim and corset ties, and one with black lace trim and corset ties. I am wearing the white option because I like the contrast. However, my favorite part of the outfit is the Victorian blouse and the cameo necklace. Look at the detail and the shape of the sleeves! Once again I am wearing my own thigh high boots, but the outfit does come with lace trim thigh high boots. The sword is not included, but it’s an animated freebie on marketplace. The hair I used for this outfit is from Calico. Calico carries a great selection of historical/medieval hairstyles for those looking for something different from contemporary hairstyles. They participate in L$25 Tuesday so check out their weekly specials. One more thing to note, I usually take my pictures under Places Paris 1 windlight setting but today I just used the default windlight setting at Alpha Tribe. This place is beautiful and wanted to capture the mood.
