My dear friend Jungeun Vella from JE*REPUBLIC is back with Catwa skin appliers!  JE*REPUBLIC was one of my favorite hair stores back in the days.  Jungeun has been off the grid for sometime and is slowly making a come back with a small selection of Catwa skin appliers.  It’s still early stages but it looks so promising.  At the moment, the skins are not base skins, i.e. the skins have default make up on it.  Therefore, some make up appliers may not work well with the skin.  Hopefully, she will be releasing some bare natural skins.   Also, the body appliers offered for now is limited to Maitreya and Belleza.  She is currently offering the skin applier I am wearing today as a group gift at her store.  There is a L$50 fee to join.  You can purchase the body applier separately at the store.

Check out this gorgeous hair from D!va.  This is an instore group gift to celebrate 15000+ group members.  You need to activate your group tag and click on the panel at the store.  There is no cost to join the group and on the second floor you can find past group only gifts.  Today’s outfit was based on my new hair.  The long messy side ponytail is quite girly so went for a puffy skirt.  The skirt is actually part of a dress from Shush currently on sale for L$50.  I pulled out a simple top, also part of another outfit.  This one is from Last Call, no longer available.  Last Call is a brand I cherish and still wear.  Despite the outfits being 4-5 years old, they are still very current.  I would think of them as classic pieces.

Golden Belle

Today’s outfit was a bargain.  The gown I am wearing is a Sixty Linden Weekends special from Eluzion, a new store to me.  The vintage earrings are also a Sixty Linden Weekends item from Hatpins.  I am loving good bargains these days.  There so many sales and events.  It’s hard to keep track.  Check out the Penned Down The Rumor.  The writers of this website are dedicated to keep you up with all the weekly and special sales in the grid.  It’s a good reference source for those who love bargain shopping like me.

Amethyst

I am loving this new group gift from Purplemoon.  The deep purple color reminds me of amethyst, a type of quartz often used in jewelry.  Amethyst is mined in Korea, which is the country I am from, thus today’s styling was inspired by my Asian roots.  The coif is one of my favorites from JE*Republic, inspired by the intricate traditional Korean hairstyles.  The eye make up I am wearing today is from Grixdale, currently available for free for Super Bargain Saturday.  Be sure to pick it up along with other free eye makeups.  Make up layers add a lot of options to your favorite skin, in my case Curio’s Jasmine.

I am back from my business trip in RL and back to my comfortable home in Seoul.  The weather is quite cold, and with G20 Summit, the traffic is quite terrible too, giving me no motivation to go out of my home if possible.  This is a look I put together just before my business trip but forgot to share.  It started off with my new leggings from JE*Republic.  They are hip and cool.  I would love to have a pair like these in RL.  Thank you Jungeun for the gift!!!

I have been having issues with SL for sometime, unable to log in for weeks.  Everythings seems to have normalized and managed to take some pictures today.  I missed out of LeeZu’s fashion show, but still got hold of LeeZu’s newest release, Un Robe.  I love it!   This colorful dress is all about volume, a nice break away from my boring knits and coats in RL.  It’s getting really cold in Seoul.  We had -1°C last week!

[ b e a u t y ] HyeRim by JE*Republic

My friend, Jungeun Vella, sent me a review copy of her newest skin line, Hyerim.  By the way, just in case you were wondering, Hyerim, is quite a popular Korean name for women.  This skin is not to be confused with Sunny Soon Su Skin’s HyeRim which I wrote about a while back.  Though both skins are very youthful and carry the same name, they definitely have different facial features, not to mention body details.  Anyways, Jungeun’s new line, Hyerim, is quite different from her earlier skins.  You can immediately see quite a bit of improvement in her skills as a skin maker, overall with better blending and softer features.  Hyerim’s face is fresh and young.  Jungeun’s previous skins were much more mature looking characterized by heavier and darker eye make ups. 

Hyerim comes in two different make up packs, Pure and Mature.  Don’t be fooled by the name of the package, the make ups choices in the mature pack are in no way old looking.  Both packs are youthful with a blend of day make ups and evening make ups.  I especially like how Jungeun played around with more colorful under eye liner.  It blends nicely with the rest of the shadows in my opinion.  A few of the skins seem to have some visible seamline problems on the neck, but that could be due to my computer.   The skin may have not rezzed completely because most of skins looked alright.  Please take a look at my favorite make up choices below.

Hyerim unfortunately only comes in one eyebrow color, reddish light brown.  I wish the eyebrows were darker so I could wear them with my darker hair colors, but that is my own personal preference.  There is also no hairbase option, but there are lots of hair base tattoos available in the grid you can easily use if you desperately need one.  For those who like extra cleavage, Jungeun does offer cleavage option, so there is no need to worry.  Note there are 26 different make ups available.  Pick up some demos at her store, try them on and see if it something you may fancy.

Today’s look was inspired by JE*Republic’s release for Hair Fair 2010.  Sandra is an exquite coiled hair style reminiscent of the late 18th century.  This is definitely not your everyday hairstyle, but more appropriate for a more formal occasion.  I had so much fun dressing up like Marie Antoinette today.  I know the whole look is a bit costumy, but sometime I need to take a break from everyday clothes!

There are so many skin makers I love.  I am really losing my identity being tempted to change every time a new skin is released.  Today’s look came together with my new skin from Dutch Touch, Yri.  The orange lips inspired me to put together this outfit.  I often don’t wear orange so I thought I would give it a try.   When I wear bold colors, I usually limit it to one or two pieces and the rest of the outfit I like to tone it down with neutral colors.  I think that makes the whole outfit much more friendly for the eyes.

One more thing, check out my new hair attachment from Baiastice.  Sissy Pessoa has released a few new hair attachments.  I am wearing Dutch Touch hair base tattoo with it.  Dutch Touch has hairbase in tattoo layer which can be used with all your old bald skins.  I love it!  Now I can have a natural hairline with any skins I choose to wear.  By the way, I had to tint the hair attachment from Baiastice a bit darker to match the hair base from Dutch Touch, but that was rather easy.
