I came across a little video clip uploaded on Facebook by Rebel Girls showing 5 Halloween costumes for ambitious girls inspired by real women. One of the suggestions was Frida Kahlo which inspired me to put together my look of the day. I took style elements from Frida Kahlo such as the flower wreath, drop earrings and statement necklace to create the look. The corset dress is new from Entice. I thought it was perfect to create the mood although it is not exactly what Frida was seen wearing. This is my take, my own interpretation of Frida Kahlo.
I have recently accepted as a blogger for Entice, and I am super excited. Entice offers such a wide variety of stylish outfits. I feel blessed and thankful being able to feature their collection in my blog. For my first post, I chose Entice’s exclusive for Genre, a beautiful combination of knit sweater and tartan print skirt. The sweater and long skirt are separate pieces available in 10 separate colors or in a HUD driven fatpack. I have chosen to wear the blue option today… such a beautiful color! Love it!
October is approaching and that means Halloween. Halloween is such a fun time for me especially in SL. As you know I love to play dress up. I will be featuring more fantasy outfits and costume so hopefully you will be as excited as I am of what’s coming. Lady Thorn is a beautiful formal gown inspired by roses and thorns. Check out the detail on this outfit. Like any other Bare@Rose outfit, it’s absolutely gorgeous!
After a long hiatus, Ignition Art! is back with this sexy halter neck mini dress available at the XXX Event. I am wearing a funky fur coat from David Heather over the dress with my favorite thigh high boots from Venus Shoes. This is a great look for a night out with the girls… so sexy, so glam!
Genre’s theme this month is “The Celts”. I am wearing the exclusive for the event by The Annex, a combination of blouse, vest and tartan long skirt. I wish I could wear these items separately. Unfortunately, it’s one piece. I have styled by look with old items in my inventory. The hair however is fairly new from elikatira, a Fifty Linden Friday item a few weeks back. Not sure if would be able to pull this off in RL, but I do love the skirt and would like one for my RL self.
Today I am wearing a cute dress with Asian inspirations from Emerald Couture. This cute little number is an exclusive available at L’Elite. The matching platform maryjanes are from Shoe-Ddiction also available at the same event. I kept accessories quite simple given the intricate Asian patterns of the dress with just a statement ring from Donna Flora. My make up is simple, dark mauve lips matching the dress with silvery eyeshadow. I went a bit fancier with my nails though. These shimmery ombre nails are from LIVIA! I am planning to get something very similar in RL. 🙂
