“Barbarella” is a movie released back in late 1968, starring Jane Fonda.  I wasn’t even born when the movie was released and honestly I have only seen very short clips here and there.  Staged in 41st century, Barbarella is an astronaut fighting an evil scientist in space.  The story line is quite weak but the imagery has definitely left a strong impression in the pop culture, and some view Barbarella as the most iconic sexy goddess in the 60’s… Body conscious body suits, thigh high boots, big hair, micro-minis, corsets, etc. are still an inspiration behind current fashion.

Fashion Dazzle has gone through some changes for 2018.  It’s been rebranded as “Dazzle” and relocated to a new and improved location.  The event starts the year with a new theme, “Angels in Golden Clouds”.   One of my top picks from the event is this exquisite gown by AvaGirl… a glittery mermaid gown with wispy feather fish tail, worn with a lace & feather shawl.  If you prefer simpler silhouettes, the gown can be worn without the fish tail.  The shawl is also versatile and can be worn separately.  The feather details on each shoulder can be removed and styled differently according to one’s mood.  I personally prefer as is with all the attachments.  You should see how gently the feather attachments move in-world.  It’s just beautiful.

Loordes of London is one of the brands participating in Fashion Dazzle this month.  Its exclusive for the event is this simple mini dress and matching shoes.  Dress it up with some statement jewelry and it can be a great sexy look for the holidays.  The jewelry is from Moondance Boutique, one of the Christmas advent gifts this season.  The advent calendar is for group members only.  There is a L$50 fee to join the group but it’s well worth it given the high quality of the gifts.  Most of the items if not all come with a HUD to personalize the colors of the jewels.
