The Secret Society

I have always had a curiosity about secret societies and wonder if they really exist.  The Illuminati, Skull & Bones, The Priory of Sion… all sound so mysterious and dangerous.  Anyways, today I feel like a member of a secret and exclusive brotherhood/sisterhood.  The sexy hoodie mini dress is from The Annex, a new release available at We ❤ Role Play.  I am not wearing any mesh hair, just a hair base.  Note the jewelry is another example of what you can find at Spoonful of Sugar event.  Note this event benefits Doctors without Borders.  Shop and donate for a good cause!

The Secret Society

The shoes are new from Apple May Designs.  I have worn them before, but it was hidden under very long skirt unable to see how cute these are.  Check out the charm details!  They are so cute.  I know I will be wearing these quite often.

[ s k i n ] Daphne by Beauty Avatar

The beautiful Saretta Tedeschi, manager of Beauty Avatar, gave me an early Christmas present, a skin pack of Beauty Avatar’s upcoming new skin line, Daphne!  I was thrilled to try them on.  The face is sophisticated and the make ups very edgy.  Because I am usually a dark brunette, I usually go for darker brow options, but it was great to step out and try out something different.  After all, models have to be versatile.  If you are a blonde or have light brown hair, you will love Daphne.  I was wearing Light, but there are two darker tones available, Natural and Dark.  I am not sure when these will be released, but make sure you don’t miss out!

Thank you Saretta for these lovely skins!  I love it!!!

[ s t y l e ] STYLE – Park Gija

[ s t y l e ] STYLE - Park Gija

Today’s look was inspired by a character in a Korean drama called STYLE, currently showing on SBS TV channel in Korea.  The character Park Gija is a fashion editor of a top fashion magazine.  She is extremely stylish.  Her look is characterized by extremely well fitted, sultry yet fashionable outfits, with lots of bold accessories and too die for shoes.  Though the TV drama lacks reality, it’s quite entertaining watching all the clothes, the jewelry, the bags, the shoes, etc. in the show.

To  create the look, I chose one shoulder dress from Stylissimo, fancy shoes from Digit Darkes, bold jewelry from Kraftika and +plus, and stylish bag from Baiastice.  For hair, I had to go with my favorite short hair, which was a freebie available at the Amorepacific sim.  Unfortunately, the sim has closed down and the freebies are no longer available.  It resembles Park Gija’s hairstyle so much.  For make up, I chose a dramatic make up from [42] Skins.

[ s t y l e ] My Tribute to Michael Jackson

My Tribute to Michael Jackson

Today I wanted to pay tribute to the king of pop, Michael Jackson.  Like many others, I grew up listening to Michael Jackson’s music.   The first album I bought with my own money was Michael Jackson’s Thriller.  Despite all the controversy over Michael Jackson, one has to respect his contribution to the music industry as well as his generosity.   I spent the weekend listening & dancing to Michael Jackson, so I was inspired to incorporate some of his signature items to my daily look today: black military inspired jacket, black pants, and motorcycle gloves.  Of course, I added my own twist to the look adding a bit of feminine touch with a clutch and jewelry.

[ s t y l e ] Loren Glam

Loren Glam

Couture Chapeau is paying tribute to the glamorous Italian actress, Sophia Loren, with a beautiful retro collection of hats worn by the actress.  I have been meaning to check it out for some time, but I never really got around to it until this weekend.  My pick from the collection is this wide brim hat, called La Loren Firenze Chapeau in Red.  Though Sophia Loren styled it with a slim fit red dress revealing her curves, I chose to play around with black and white to create a retro-chic glamorous look for a night out in the summer.  I kept the silhoutte slim with high waisted jeans from LoveDOT, a sister brand to Vive9.  These are freebies available in the store.  The unbalanced zebra print top is part of Ingridr Zebra Dress from Ivalde.  Accessories were kept simple adding just neutral clip-on earrings which pop in contrast to the hat.

[ s t y l e ] Cabana Boy

Cabana Boy

I am still obsessed with straw hats so here I am wearing a short-hair version today.  This Summer promises to be sizzling hot so I put together a comfortable resort look still wearable in the city.  The flowered shirt is from Pure Style called Plumeria.  I received it as a gift from Mimify Loon a while back but never really had a chance to wear it till today.  Thanks Mimify!  The big flower prints put me in a good mood and like her other items the prims are scripted to re-size.  Don’t let those sculpted prims scare you.  I like to mix and match new clothes with old items.  Today I pay tribute to G.L.A.M (also known as Vive La Glam) and Last Call.  Both stores are not present in SL right now, but I hope at least Vive La Glam will return sometime in the future.

[ s t y l e ] Mannish Influence

Mannish Influence

I have an addictive personality.  I recently started playing Mafia Wars on Facebook, a new addiction, and hence the inspiration behind today’s outfit.

I overdid the mannish fashion look by teaming up grey pin stripe pants from Last Call and shirt with tie from JE*Republic.  Although Last Call is no longer available, I often wear pieces from Last Call as it still is one of my favorite clothing brands in SL.  The shirt is a new release from JE*Republic.  It’s unisex and prim tie is included in the set.  I added a vest from Cupcakes and the fedora hair from TorridWear to maximize the mafioso look.  The jacket on the shoulder is a fun item I picked up from Polina Kaestner.  It’s scripted with a hold pose.

For the rest of the outfit, I picked out more feminine options.  The red Chanel-like bag is a gift from my friend Kazunari Mayo.  Unfortunately, it is not available for sale.  The simple red pumps from Maitreya go perfectly with the bag.  For jewelry, I picked out some bold earrings from Opium Everyday and a zebra pattern bangle from +plus.

One last thing, the skin is a preview copy of Naive‘s Camille Skins.  Leah McCullough was really kind to send me some samples.  If you are looking for a more defined facial features, check them out.
