Moonlight Sonata

Moonlight Sonata

I finally stopped by LeeZu!, my old work place.  It was one of my first jobs in Second Life, in-store modeling.  I eventually had to quit due to RL commitments but LeeZu! has a deep place in my heart.  The team is so warm and caring.  I hear LeeZu Baxter is very busy in RL thus unable to create as much as before.  She is such as talented person, and unlike many designers in SL, she has her own creative vision.  Her work is so unique!  For today’s post I picked out this blue gown.  It’s circa 2013 but still very current.  Scooped neck and strategically cut out back accentuates the hour glass figure.  It can’t get more sultry than this!  The dress literally glides elegantly as you move. Moonlight Sonata
I am wearing a bit more make up today, some bold eye shadows I picked up lately from Slack Girl.  Being able to add different make up options is definitely a plus for Lelutka heads.  I have kept accessories simple with my favorite earrings from Paper Couture.  Paper Couture and Donna Flora are still on top of my list for accessories.  Lastly, guess where I am?  I am actually standing on top of the keyboard of a piano.  Yes, it’s a formal ballroom, set in a giant piano!  How cool is that? Casually Cool

This is definitely a look I would wear in RL.  Although I love all the glam and glitz of fashion, RL me is very much casual.  The weather in Seoul has been quite volatile intraday, cooler mornings & evenings but warmer during the day.  Layering is the best way to cope with the extreme changes of temperature and this look is simply a replica of what I have been wearing lately.  The knit cardigan is actually menswear.  I had to edit the prims smaller and make my chest a bit flatter to fit me better.  The tiger sweater is my latest obsession.  I have a soft spot for animal prints!!!  The jeans are not new, but I love the fit.  By the way, the hair I am wearing today is from ChiChickie!  It’s actually part of a full avatar package in collaboration with KRB Skins, but I am being told it will be available in all of ChiChickie’s usual color packs very soon.  I can’t wait~

I recently discovered a new store, Zenith.  At least it’s quite new to me.  I was strolling around Godgan Mall.  Godgan Mall is a small shopping mall run by a group of Korean content creators called SL Godgan.  SL Godgan dedicates to foster new Korean content creators.  Some well known designers like Jungeun Vella of JE*Republic, Sopha McCallen of My Ugly Dorothy, Joman Mai of JM:Mai, Beaumont Ryba of Little Girl, etc. are all active members of Godgan.

Anyways, I was checking out to see if there were any new designers at Godgan Mall when Zenith caught my attention.  Miffyhoi Rosca, the designer behind Zenith, is not Korean, but she has a small store at the mall.  I immediately checked out her main store and picked out a couple of items, including this dress I am wearing today.  I love the tulip shape of the skirt and the big bold prints.  I kept the accessories quite simple today.  The dress alone with eyecatching prints and volume has a lot of design elements.  Adding fancier accessories would be too over the top in my opinion, thus I added some simple white gloves, simple white pumps from Maitreya, and some blue pearl earrings and matching bracelet from Alienbear Designs.  As a last touch, I decided to carry a bright red clutch from MN Handbags to add a pop of color to the whole look.  Make up was kept clean and sophisticated, clean black eyeliner and bright red lips, a freebie from Nuuna’s Skins at Vanity Hair.  For hair, I chose also clean high fashion updo also from Vanity Hair.

Pink Blossoms

I am back!!!  I just got back from a short trip to Spain and Portugal and I miss it already.  Anyways, I am glad to be back and I have been quite busy checking out all the new releases I missed out during my absense.  Today I mixed some new and old items from Paper Couture and my new skirt from Royal Blue to create today’s extravagant, over the top look.  After all, Spring is all about flowers~

The whole look started off with the flower sculptie skirt from Royal Blue.  I have always been a big fan of Marni Grut.  Her corky avant-garde fashion style has won my heart from the first time I stepped into her store as a newbie almost two years ago.  Spring 2009 release is no disappointment.  There are so many cute items but this skirt just screamed “wear me”.

I added the flower headpiece and hair (Frida) from Paper Couture, part of 2009 Spring/Summer Collection.  I tinted the flower head piece a bit darker to match the skirt.  For the top, I pulled out of one of Paper Couture’s earlier collection.  I edited the arms for a tighter fit to accentuate the silhouette of the skirt.  I added pink/mauve pumps from Maitreya keeping with the same color scheme.  Perhaps it’s too much pink, but since we are playing with too many shapes, I thought keeping the color paillete monotonous would tame the look a bit.  For accessories, I just added some gold drop earrings from Paper Couture and gold clutch from Fleur.

Note the skin is a recent group gift from Rockberry.  It’s been blogged all over, but I think it looks great on me too.

One more thing, the poses used for this blog are from Behaviour Body located at Baiastice.  These are part of the animated pose sets.  These are looped animated poses which are more appropriate for the runway or AO.  Be sure to go to the store and try them.  I love these and can’t wait to use them on the runway.

[ s t y l e] Vintage Glam

Just A Bit of Glamour

Today’s look started off with my new jewelry set from Chloe, Red Winds Jewels Set in Gold.  Usually, jewelry like other accessories are the final touch to an outfit, but I really wanted to show these off so here we go.  The dress is a mix-match I created from two different outfits.  The feather hair accessory, corset top and underskirt pants are from Phoenix Gown, a special sale item over at Phoenix Rising.  The gown with it’s original skirt is beautiful and a bargain.  I can’t remember how much I paid, but it was definitely no more than L$25.  The prim skirt is part of LeeZu’s Courtisane outfit.  I made an extra copy of the flexi skirt and attached them at two different points to create a poofy asymmetrical skirt.  This is definitely not an everyday look, so chose vintage glamour make up, Vivant Buff Soiree 3 from Fleur, and funky hair, Runway Compound from my new favorite hair store, Vintage Wear.  For shoes, I had to stick with Stiletto Moody’s Bare Greta, and of course I did not forget my clutch from Fleur.
