Dressed for success… I had a very important meeting in RL today which I have been preparing for weeks. It actually went quite smoothly. I have yet to hear the results but I am keeping my fingers crossed. Wish me luck!
Meow meow! I am loving my outfit today~ This stripe sweater and skirt combo is from La Gazza Ladra. It was released more than a month ago but I never really got a chance to blog it till now. Dress it down with comfortable sneakers for a more casual look. I chose to wear heels~ As many of you know, I love the extra height! 🙂
Happy 2017! Have you drafted your list of New Year’s resolutions? I have a long, long list~ I am not sure if I will be able to fulfill even a quarter of the list. My look today is not festive, no champagne, no fireworks, no party dress… but I am excited about the New Year! Hopefully it will be filled with happiness and joy~ Wishing you all the very best!!!!!
A classic winter staple, the herringbone coat is a must-have item for the season. Pick one in a classic shape like this one from VIPs Creations. For a more traditional look, go with neutral colors. If you want to be a bit more trendy, choose one in a more playful color like this one in soft blue tones. Spice up this timeless classic look with a color stripe scarf. This one is included in the set, and can be worn separately. One last thing, I am wearing a new skin, venturing out to non-Asian skins for a change. I will likely be back with my Asian skin soon but just wanted to try something different today. It still amazes me how different your avie can look with different skin. It’s still my Annie mesh head but the skin applier you use can make such a difference. I am hoping more designers release Bento heads. I can’t wait to try those!
Penumbra Fashion Week is filled with shows showcasing a large number of my favorite designers in SL. Although I have not been able to attend many shows this time around, it’s always exciting to get a peek of exclusive releases for this event. Today I am wearing an exquisite evening gown from Glitterati for Penumbra. The dress has quite a lot of detail so it does not need any jewelry or accessories. I just added a pair of earrings resembling the bodice detail. I kept my hairstyle and make up very clean, with my hair pulled up in a simple updo, and just a little dab of red lipstick. The lipstick is actually a hunt prize from Lumae for The Enchantment Hunt. Pick up the HUD and details at Lumae.
We all have those moments in life feeling anti-social and wanting to be alone. I actually enjoy my alone time. I work in an environment dealing with customers all day, so I do appreciate my quiet time. This cute top is new from TheBeautifulOnes. I wish I had one in RL, so I could wear them to the gym. “Leave me alone!” Anyways, on to today’s look, I went a bit grungier today. The mini-skirt with the belt is also from TheBeautifulOnes. I added my favorite biker jacket and casual accessories to complete the look. My hairstylist is Monso. I am loving it! As you know I am always in search of great short hairs so I welcome any suggestions if you have any. For make-up, I went with a new make-up artist Livia. Livia offers a wide range of applier make-up at very affordable prices. The set comes with multiple applier options. If you are like me who have different mesh heads, this is really convenient. The prices are also very affordable ranging around L$50 price tag. I am so happy to have found another make-up artist with affordable price tag. I am sure I will be featuring Livia quite often along with my all time favorite alaskametro<3.
A friend and I were chatting about SL fashion and the limited choices available for business wear. I work for a corporate in RL, thus I have a fair share of business suits in my RL wardrobe. My SL wardrobe on the other hand is filled with gowns, cocktail dresses, whimsical fantasy outfits… basically stuff I would not wear in RL. Today, given it’s a Monday, I challenged myself and tried to put together an outfit appropriate for work. This cardigan and sheath dress combination is something I would wear quite often to work. The length of the dress is a bit short but the whole outfit looks quite conservative because of the long cardigan and the subdued neutral colors. The cardigan and dress combination is from Wicked. It comes with a HUD which allows you to customize the color of the sheath, the belt, and the collar. You can also choose to wear without the sheath. I accessorized with long gold necklace to add a bit of spice with neutral color pumps and bag.
