It’s time to wake up from hibernation and smell the scent of spring… time to dust off your florals and bright colored clothes. I am really looking forward to the blue skies. It always puts me in such a good mood.
A friend of mine said I look best in romantic clothes: flower prints and lace. In reality, this is far from my RL style. In RL, I prefer simple well-tailored classic looks with a bit of modern trendy twist. In SL, however, I can be more versatile, and try different styles. Actually styling in SL has helped me expand my styling in RL. 🙂 Anyways, today’s dress is a new release from Amarelo Manga. I think the layering of bright flower print over delicate lace is quite a nice combination. I am wearing matching sandals also from Amarelo Manga. I have kept my look fairly simple today with little accessories, just carrying my new straw bag from C’est La Vie! This is a Fifty Linden Friday item this weekend.
I have started planning my Summer vacation a bit earlier this year. Last year, I didn’t have the luxury to enjoy a proper Summer vacation, so this year I am planning early. One of my dream vacation would be spending a few weeks in Tuscany… I imagine a slow paced life, free from pollution and traffic, waking up to the sunlight and not to an alarm clock! Anyways, it’s still months away and there are a few hurdles I need to tackle first. For now, checking out Tuscan scenery in SL will have to do the trick. For the occasion, I am wearing the latest from Amarelo Manga, a flower print summer mini dress with matching wedge sandals. I kept the look simple, wearing a wide brim hat to hide from the sun, and a cross body bag for comfort.
It’s always so refreshing when you find a dress with a skirt line that is not so short especially in a nice flower print. The latest from VIPs Creations is a flattering dress shape for any body type. It is cinched at the waist line with a flowy skirt, a discrete way of showing off one’s curves. I am usually not sold on the collar details but it works well in this case. I went very feminine with my look today, carrying a bag with ruffles, and sparkling drop down statement earrings. I wanted to wear the matching necklace but it was just too much. Edit, edit, edit! I am wearing my hair up with see through bangs, which is very in these days in Asia, thanks to Song Hye-Kyo in “Descendants of the Sun”. Perhaps I should consider cutting my bangs in RL… just a thought~
I am loving my outfit today… It’s casual, free-spirit, boho chic~ The clothes are all new releases from one of my favorite stores on the grid, TheBeautifulOnes (TBO). I came across this store via New Designers Bloggers group and ever since then I have become a huge fan. The cardigan and top come with multiple color options via HUD. You can also choose to wear the cardigan alone with out the top. The pair of embellished jeans also come with a HUD which allows you to choose between black jeans and blue jeans. I love how effortless cool this look is. I have chosen very ethnic pieces to compliment the look.
I went very carefree with my hair style as well, natural waves with a thin headband… very hippie. This one is from Elikatira. It actually comes with flower attachments, but I chose to wear it simple as is. I went subtle with my make up, wanted to keep the look fresh and young with a dab of lip tint. I think I will keep this look for a few days. 🙂
I am back to girly me with this new outfit “Michelle” from The Beautiful Ones. It consists of a long sleeve simple mini dress, scarf and boots. All three items come with multiple color options HUDs which you can mix & match in almost infinite number of combinations. I added a pair of applier jeans with this outfit. If you have been following me, you probably figured out I do this quite often especially with short mini dresses.
Check out the close up shots above and below. The bag is from C’est La Vie! I purchased it a while back never really got to carry it. The knit texture adds a cozy, warm feel. I am loving the boots as well. I love the loose feel to it, not so tight on the legs for a change. The pattern of the scarf is so detailed. You really don’t need jewelry or other accessories. Note the turquoise version of this outfit is available as a group gift. Check it out!
